Interview: I Am What a Trademark Attorney Looks Like
Rukayatu Tijani and I sit down and discuss her experience as a black female Trademark Attorney. In a very open, personal interview she kicks me in the racial and gender stereotypes, talks about her own insecurities of feeling like she didn’t belong and discusses how and why she chose to lean into her identity for the positioning of the firm. We talk about how doing so, enabled her to create a truly exceptional firm with amazing clients – even some Tech Bros. This is one of the most personable, honest, candid interviews I’ve ever done. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it.
