Market Exclusivity

We would love to tell you all about our wonderful clients. Really, we would. It’d be great.
We’d show off their websites – you would “ooh” and “aah” at their breathtaking design.
We’d tell you the heartwarming tale of how we helped them escape FindLaw, and how they now own every piece of their site – from the domain to the privacy policy. You would immediately want all of these great things for yourself, and your competitors would do everything in their power to duplicate everything we do for you.

So, to protect them from the prying eyes of their adversaries, we keep our client list tucked safely away, guarded by our pet wombat (seriously).  This is also the reason you won’t see the orange Mockingbird logo in the footer of our clients’ sites – we tend to believe law firm websites should be a marketing channel for law firms, not us.  This concept of protecting your client list was articulated exceptionally well by long standing search nerd, Roger Montti:

We will, however, show you the big picture of where they’re located, to demonstrate our commitment to market exclusivity. Mockingbird provides marketing services exclusively to one firm for each practice area within a geographic market. With access to key performance data through tools like Google Analytics, we can’t ethically represent competitors across the street from one another. This exclusive agreement ensures that we work tooth and nail for our clients’ success.
